At the end of 2008, BH submitted applications for 18 wind energy projects concentrating in Çanakkale and Southern Marmara Region through 13 local wind companies with a Total Capacity of 800MW.

The projects are organized under 13 different companies to have the flexibility to develop the projects on an individual basis.

Availability of transmission capacity to connect to the grid and availability of transformer capacity will be critical in the timing of the projects.

While the wind projects are waiting for their licenses,the Group has already invested in wind masts and have been  collecting wind data for all projects since the beginning of 2009.

Furthermore, environmental reports have already been obtained from the State for 9 projects, and applications for the others have been submitted.
